Special Issue: Immunization and Infectious Diseases

Journal of Infectious Diseases & Therapy, provides the rapid bimonthly publication of articles in all areas related to Infectious Diseases. Journal of Infectious Diseases and Therapy welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. Papers will be published approximately one month after acceptance.

With the advent of 21st century, immunization played a decisive role to avert deaths of millions of people who suffered from infectious diseases. Immunization is a technique in which a person is made resistant or immune to an infectious disease through vaccination. In spite, of being one of the most simple and effective approach to outplay infectious diseases, people around the globe still suffers from preventable diseases like Ebola, Viral hepatitis, influenza, tuberculosis etc. The data provided by WHO estimates about 2-3 million deaths from life-threatening infectious diseases every year. According to a report by heathypeople.gov approximately 42,000 adults and 300 children in the United States alone die each year from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Considering the current scenario and to bring novel approaches and scientific outcomes to the society, Journal of Infectious Diseases and Therapy is coming-up with a special issue on “Immunization and Infectious Diseases”. This special issue is being edited by Dr. Shinobu Watarai.

Dr. Shinobu Wa

tarai is an Emeritus Professor in Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Osaka Prefecture University, Japan. He has a vast experience in dealing with infectious diseases, their prevention and control. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.

We encourage potential authors and researchers to take part in this special issue and help us in bringing novel medical and clinical approaches for dealing with infectious diseases through immunization.

The Journal will be accepting novel research articles, review articles, perspective studies, clinical trial protocols, case reports and letter to editors on all topics which justifies with the scope of the special issue “Immunization and Infectious Diseases”.
